The Tierra-Derco Bacchus 7.75-ft. Iron Arch Arbor with Gate features a black polyester powder coating for a lasting finish. We ordered the bacchus Arbor and Gate set for our backyard. We put it leading from our landscaping around or patio to the grass. We really love it. I haven't seen it weather the winter yet, so I can't say if it is wearther proof or not, but my only complaint was the directions were very poor. We had a hard time leveling the whole thing so that both sides of our gate lined up with eachother. The arbor itself was fine, but the gate was tricky. They should have had more directions with this product.

The arbor is being used to decoratively seperate the patio from the yard, with a narrow garden on each side. I love the grape and leave pattern and how they have been brushed with a bronze colored paint to stand out. The design is beautiful and the picture doesn't reflect that as well as it could. I was pleasantly surprised. The arbor is a good size and the construction seems sturdy. Disappointing factors were they used wood screws that shirred when being screwed into the metal holes. We ended up buying self-tapping screws. Unfortunately we couldn't find black ones that would fit and ended up with silver ones so I had to buy paint to cover them. On the curved part of the atbor, when one section is being attached to the other, we had to use pliers to squeeze the ends on two different sections because one piece wouldn't fit into the other properly. Also,the gate appears insecure. But once we worked out the bugs (can't help the gate) it looks beautiful assembled. Haven't anchored it yet, so can't comment on that. We've only had it about a week, so cannot comment on durablility or stability. [...]

      Very nice powder coat finish. Pretty easy to assemble for a handy person. The screws are no good for metal. They are too soft. You will have to buy 25 rust proof screws or stainless screws. Then paint them if they are not black. I used a paint pen to paint them. Also I mounted the arbor on two 2' two by fours. Then leveled the arbor.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      The screws that are needed to permantly connect the product were the wrong size. And the arbor is steel, the screws included were wood screws. So I went to [@]and bought a drill bit to open the holes. They did not have any screws that would fit the holes.

          Very difficult to put together, flimsy, not iron like it says in the description its metal and not worth the money. If I hadn't worked so hard on getting it together I would have sent it back

            we used two arbors to close off the entrance and exit to a covered patio .. they look great and do the job. The arbors are a little lightweight but work fine .
