Exact size I want, also the color. I always like green. I have been hesitated for a while to choose between a white Erden Arbor and this one, which of both are same price. But I finally choose this one because of the width. I will put this arbor by the entrance to my backyard, which is also used to climb my roses I planted by the backyard gate. So I don't want the arbor to narrow to pass through with the rose thorns, especially for my big tall husband. This green arbor has 60" width, which is very rare to find. I installed it myself. My husband only came to help me raise up the arbor. Perfect size!! Now my rose already climbs up to the top of arbor. I am expecting the flowers full of the arbor in the summer times. Besides, I saw a previous review from one customer who complains about the top panel vine and grape leaves upside down. My opinion is that the top panel is already curved , so you cannot change to turn it around. But you can change the side panels to make all arbor vine and grape leaves showing the same sides.

The small metal bars that keep the main arch pieces together are made of very shoddy metal. These stays cracked a week after we bought the arch... we decided to move the arch from one position to another in the garden and nearly all of these metal bits snapped in half. I had to buy metal spanners from the hardware store to reassemble the arch and keep it from falling apart. The metal of the arch itself seems good, only the attachment pieces were a problem.

We have installed the arbor at the entrance to our Townhome. We have purchased two Clematis plants, one for each side of the arbor. The arbor adds a geat touch to our home's exterior, and goes well with our garden.

Comments about Austram Vintage 7.25-ft. Iron Arch Arbor:

This Arch/Arbor by Austram frames the sidewalk entrance to our home. We already had a Victorian mailbox and yard lamp in the green color. The arch blends perfectly with thse elements and sets the tone for what is to come. Delivery was exactly as stated and the arch was easy to assemble and install. We will have to add reinforcement and cement around the ground stakes when we add climbing roses on both sides as it needs to be more stable.

      Customer Q & A

Q1: How many pieces does this come in and how is it put together?

A: It comes in approximately 9 pieces, and it is pretty easy to assemble. You should have two people when raising the arbor to its standing position when assembly is complete.

Q2: How are your metal/iron arbors anchored?

A: This arbor in particular comes with four ground stakes that you would insert into the ground and set the arbor onto the stakes and you also might want to put an extra support on the legs to help prevent wind damage.

Q3: What is the internal width?

A: This is designed to be a 5 ft walk through arbor.  The steel is about an inch, so the internal dimensions are going to be a little shy of 5 ft.

Q4: Is the arch solid or tubular steel?

      A: 1 inch tubular steel.
