The Arboria Astoria 7-ft. Cedar Pergola Arbor gives you simple elegance and understated beauty. This gorgeous arbor features a bow shaped header and nicely scaled lattice side panels, which add classic grace and style to this piece. The pre-assembled, heavy-duty side panels are both glued and stapled at every joint for increased durability and stability. The frame attaches to the vertical posts with mortise-and-tenon joinery.
The Astoria is constructed of a beautiful Western Red Cedar, which is naturally resistant to moisture and insects. You can conserve this cedar wood's original beauty by treating it with a weather resistant stain or clear coat or leave it untreated for a natural weathered grey look.
This product comes partially assembled, so some assembly is required. Easy-to-follow, detailed instructions are included along with all necessary hardware. Four galvanized steel ground stakes are also included for added stability and are intended to be used with concrete for a permanent installation. A bench is also available to purchase with this arbor.

The wood is uniform red to brown in color but fades to a silver grey when used externally. It is relatively soft wood which can be easily marked and has a distinctive aroma. The grain is usually straight and displays prominent growth rings. Cedar needs to be re-stained every season in order to avoid fading to silver grey.

I'm moderately handy, and it took about 3 hours to assemble (preceded by about 90 minutes applying a poly to all the parts). Like another customer, I widened it by attaching the side panels farther out on each side. Otherwise, it would have been too skinny to get a bench under.
It looks nice, but if I had to buy another I'd pay more for one that is heavier and thicker. Once we got it into our landscaping it looked a little puny. It also sways fairly easily, just because it is so light. But you get what you pay for, and it was pretty inexpensive ...

This is a beautiful design. Simple and good quality. It is cedar and it is made in the USA.
I am an older single woman. I put this together myself w/ a rinky dink battery op drill/driver.
I am very happy with this arbor, the design, the materials and the quality. I made a mistake when I put one side together. I have zero carpentry skills. One of the suggested tools was a carpenters square. I don't have a carpenter's square but I probably wouldn't know how to use it if I had it. It was not the lack of the square the caused the problem, it was that I have zero experience with wood working and power tools. One side is not square because I didn't follow the directions well. I just put that side toward the vine trunk that I bought the arbor to support. The side that is square will show the most. It looks really good!!!!!!!

Received item very quickly and in good shape...just one small dent which is to be expected with cedar being so soft. We had purchased a very nice arbor for the other side of the house on another site and bought this one as our second choice since the other one was sold out on the other site. We should have purchased two of these as it is better construction and a nicer design...for $100 less.

It sure is nice to see products made in the USA which are of good quality, and durable. Assembly was slow to start, but once we started to piece it all together it fell into place nicely taking no more than 2 hours tops to complete the project. I'm looking forward to it showcasing the cornerstone of my garden with climbing roses!

Q1: What is the bottom opening width?
A: The inside dimensions are 42.5W x 17.5D x 78H inches.
Q2: Is the width of the Astoria Arbor adjustable? I see its 64.8 inches wide but we need it 60 in
A: Unfortunately no - the outside width of 64.8 inches is static and not adjustable. If you are looking for 60 inches inside the arbor, DU015 may be a good option.
