I strongly disagree with the reviewer who said the arbor is poorly made. I have had mine for three years now and find that it is still as sturdy and solid as the day I installed it. It is pleasant to look at, but I also enjoy sitting on the comfortable bench to eat lunch. If you stain it, use two coats of stain and then use a sealer after that. But if left alone it will weather to a beautiful silvery gray color.

My order is coming in 2 shipments. The first, the arbor, arrived within days; perfect for the Mother's Day gift. Assembled it in around 40 minutes. Just waiting for the bench section to come. I anticipate smooth sailing with that as well.

We have just assembled the arbor and are about to install the bench. It's a beautiful arbor! The pre-drilled holes and guide marks made the assembly easier. Instructions were pretty clear, too. And --hooray!-- it's made in the USA!
