      The arbor is only primed so I spray painted the product before construction and it took two big cans of spray paint.Construction required many more tools than stated in the instructions. Also, the final page of instructions was missing so I had to figure out how to finish it myself. The top holes in the cross pieces were incorrectly placed (not far enough apart) so I had to drill new ones.

      Once done, however, it is quite attractive and I love having it in the yard. I would buy another one.

      The arbor is pre-stained with white primer, but needs to be painted. I used a brush, but recommend spray painting. I followed the directions in the order given, matching up the pre-drilled holes. Directions do not include how to attach the top cross headers, but it was easy to figure out. It takes two people to install it in the ground. A lot of work, but the final product looks great.

        Our backyard was a disastor and so I decided to use this arbor as an entry to a flower/vegetable garden I am putting in. I built a picket fence and put the arbor at the enrance gate. I have received many positive comments and will purchase the same arbor for a side entry into the garden. It was simple to put together and came primed, so I just needed to paint.

          Missing instructions on how to space the top cross members. Otherwise it matched two existing cedar arbors that are years old and that I painted, which took forever. I was thrilled to find a cedar arch that matched the old arches and that I didn't have to paint! Just put it together and place it and it was good to go!
          The item was packed extremely well for shipment, too.
