This decorative wood arbor will make an enchanting entrance to your front walkway or your backyard garden. Vertical and horizontal bars on the sides are perfect for vines to climb, and the sparse, slatted roof adds a tropical flair. Constructed of Balau wood, it's durable and weather-resistant. Balau is an extremely dense, oil-rich tropical hardwood. From Southeast Asia, Balau's strength and weather-resistance make it perfect for use in outdoor furniture. Balau is very similar to teak but is said to be denser, strong, and more durable. It also has a warmer, deep honey hue. This wood should be cleaned and treated annually to retain the natural wood color. If left to weather on its own, Balau will weather to grey patina.
