Very long box 4"x10"x85". Assembly required.The center vertical piece is screwed at every junction and 4 screws in the corners. Nice little white screw snap on cover caps are incl. Not sure how good they will stay on so I put them against the fence.I used some 5 min epoxy glue for the top caps. Normal PVC cement wont work well. They should have supplied the glue but I think the Super Hot melt glue would be a shipping hazard. The correct glue is called Cristy's "super" hot melt and is sold at Vinyl fence companies. Dont get the kind at HD that is not hot enough. This trellis needs to be against a wall or fence or something. They should have included some redwood or treated wood stakes to put into the ends of the posts for additional support. Mine do not touch the ground as I wanted the trellis to go over a fence as much as possible and the slope. Four mounting lac screws are supplies with cover caps but no washers so I do worry about heavy vines or fruit and time and sun exposure working its magic on the vinyl. Kit comes with 4 3" long plastic spacers. I used larger 1/2" PVC connectors. Unless you have a wood mounting surface the lag bolt are not going to work very well without additional anchors. I used hollow wall toggle bolts the kind that have the wings that open and get a good bite as I mounted to an existing vinyl fence. For [$]shipped it was expensive but in 2 hours I had it up and looking sporty and I was tying up the honeysuckle vines (required due to open spacing).

I purchased a little carriage house next door to my residence and it had a decidely plain addition put on in the 1970's that was devoid of any charm (plain clapboards and the windowless side faced the street). It was really transformed by mounting this trellis on it - the 1970's addition now much better blends with the 1910 original structure. Very pleased.
